Celtic’s match-winner against Zenit, Callum McGregor, has been named in the Europa League team of the week.
The 24-year-old was given the honour after his 78th minute goal gave the Hoops a brilliant 1-0 victory to take into the second leg in Russia on Thursday.
The team was announced on the official Europa League Twitter account, with McGregor the only Celtic player to feature.


The Scotland international’s strike was an answer to the critics who have been on the player’s back after some indifferent displays in recent matches, he was back to his best against Roberto Mancini’s side.
Brendan Rodgers’ injury ravaged side fully deserved their win over the team currently second in the Russian league, in a match they dominated from start to finish.
Jozo Simunovic proved the doubters wrong with an excellent performance in defence alongside Kristoffer Ajer, whilst surprise selection Eboue Kouassi dominated the midfield.
Up-front, Moussa Dembele dominated his opponents in a way which he hasn’t done for months, as the Zenit defence failed to cope with his strength and movement.
The Bhoys return to league action on Sunday against St Johnstone, before they make the trip to Russia for the second leg on Thursday, and after such a dominant display in the first leg the players must be confident on getting the job done in the second leg.
