Celtic idol mocks ‘delusional’ Rangers fans after ‘huge’ reveal

Rangers fans have not given up on winning the league.

That’s according to former Celtic striker Frank McAvennie speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Gers’ chance of catching their Glasgow rivals.

The Light Blues are still nine points behind Celtic after the return of the Scottish top flight.

As quoted by the BBC (12 December) Michael Beale said he has a “huge amount” of confidence that his side can catch the league leaders once his squad recovers from injury.

The new boss insisted his side are “more vulnerable” than they have been in many years ahead of their derby clash on 2 January.

Beale knows it will be a “tough task” to catch the Green and Whites.

When asked if Rangers will be willing to concede the league already, McAvennie told Football Insider:Not a chance.

99.9 per cent of the fans still think that there is three games left against Celtic, they win them and that is nine points. Rangers fans are still telling me they’re going to win the treble.

They are delusional but you have got to admire them. There is three games left against their biggest rivals, they take those nine points and they are level.

Rangers

It is a huge game next week. The season is not finished and I do not think Celtic think it is finished either. There is three games that Rangers could win easily and then Celtic are scared to drop a point.

Under no circumstances will the fans think that it is over.

In other news, Rangers have profited from major injustice as Connor Goldson footage emerges – ‘it’s embarrassing,’ says pundit.
