Celtic in danger of repeating past mistakes as Rodgers makes worrying transfer statement
Celtic could be in danger of repeating their old mistakes, judging by some recent comments from Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers.
The Hoops have many times failed to build on a position of strength, and this could be the case again, as Rodgers has claimed, as reported by the Herald, that the Hoops are unlikely to spend big money in the summer.
These comments will not go down well with Hoops fans, as it looks like the Bhoys are in danger of resting on their laurels and not kicking on, especially in Europe.
The Hoops have dominated in Scotland to an unprecedented extent in the last two seasons, clinching two domestic trebles, but the Bhoys have struggled to make their mark in Europe.
The fans will be looking to Europe for their thrills from now on, and there has to be a worry that any signings that are made will not sufficiently improve the Hoops enough.

A lot could also depend on who leaves the Hoops in the summer, as if the likes of Moussa Dembele and Stuart Armstrong leave, they will need to be replaced as they have been big performers for the Hoops over the last two seasons.
After the excitement of clinching the treble once more, these comments from Rodgers will have tempered expectations, but long-time Hoops fans won’t be surprised that the Bhoys aren’t intending to spend big in the summer.
