Celtic January signing more than capable of handling pressure if he becomes first choice
COMMENT
It could be all change in the Celtic goalkeeping department next season, if reports are to be believed.
The Scottish Sun is reporting that Craig Gordon is a target for Manchester United, as he is on the shortlist to become back-up to David de Gea.
Should the rumours be true and the money is right, if Gordon leaves then Scott Bain will become first choice Hoops goalkeeper.
Thankfully for the Hoops, he has already shown that he is capable of handling the pressure situations.
It does not come much more tense and pressure filled than making your debut in a pivotal Old Firm game of the season, but that is what Bain did and he proved himself as a goalkeeper, with a fine display in the Hoops’ 3-2 win.

The win all but clinched the league title for the Hoops, and Bain had already proved himself in the eyes of not only the Hoops support, but manager Brendan Rodgers.
The decision to award Bain a permanent deal could turn out to be a masterstroke if Gordon leaves, as it means that the Hoops will be replacing one very good goalkeeper with another.
Even if the Gordon report is just ‘paper talk’, Bain is still more than capable of becoming the Hoops number one goalkeeper should the situation call on it.
