Kyle Ure could play for Partick Thistle in the Scottish Championship

The former Leicester City manager has previously enjoyed success in the English game, winning the FA Cup with the Foxes in 2021, and could return to the Premier League in 2026.

In the meantime, Rodgers is overseeing a strong transfer window at Celtic Park, while sending Ure on loan will benefit the Glaswegian side in the long term.

Young midfielder Ure is yet to make a senior appearance for Rodgers’ men, thanks to the presence of star players such as Callum McGregor, Arne Engels, and Reo Hatate.

But the teenager can enjoy regular game time in the Scottish Championship for Partick Thistle next term, which will play a key role in his development.

Wilson’s side have not featured in the Scottish Premiership since suffering relegation from the top flight in 2018, and will hope that Ure can help them earn promotion.
