Celtic mainstay has chance to dominate Old Firm match if the team plays to his strengths
Kieran Tierney has been playing in a more advanced position recently for Celtic, and it is a role which suits him far more than the traditional left-back role he made his name in.
With Brendan Rodgers switching to a three at the back formation, the 20-year-old has a role which involves him playing as a wing back rather than a left-back, and it plays to his strengths, which are attacking.
In the last Old Firm match, the goalless draw at Celtic Park in December, Tierney struggled to cope with Rangers winger Daniel Candeias in the second half of the game, as he was given the runaround.
Playing Tierney in his advanced role means he no longer has to worry about that, and can get forward and support the attacking players, like he did to devastating effect in the recent 2-0 win over Aberdeen.
If the Hoops go with their normal game to Ibrox, and play with the freedom which they can when they are at the best, Tierney could have a huge impact on the game.
