Celtic mainstay set to be centre of attention in Old Firm clash
Celtic captain Scott Brown is set to be the centre of attention as usual when the Hoops go to Ibrox looking for the win which would all but clinch a seventh straight league title for the Bhoys.
The thing with Brown that people forget is that for all the antics he gets up to – such as strutting about during the recent win over Aberdeen, and of course the celebration “The Broony” – it is sometimes forgotten how important the 32-year-old is to the Hoops’ side.
Brendan Rodgers’ time are nowhere near as effective when Brown doesn’t play, which showed in the recent goalless draw with St Johnstone which he was suspended for.
Brown should thrive in the blood and thunder atmosphere of Ibrox, in a match which will be defined by the midfield battle.
Supported by Olivier Ntcham, Brown should look to drive the team forward and dominate the midfield area of the park.

No doubt there will be the usual frantic challenges, and Brown may well end up picking up a booking but that is just part of his game as much as winding oppositions players up is.
If the Hoops are to win the three points at Ibrox, Brown, a mainstay of the side this season with 44 appearances, will have to turn in another one of the big performances which have defined his Celtic career.
