Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths has given his backing to Kilmarnock youngster Dominic Thomas and taken a dig at Rangers.
Thomas, a Scotland under 21 international, told a fan on Twitter that he would ‘never sign for Rangers in a million years’.
The Scottish Sun is reporting that Griffiths has backed Thomas’s tweet by giving it a like on the social media website.
Griffiths is no stranger to controversy, and he previously caused a social media outcry of his own after wiping his nose on a a Rangers flag after scoring against Rangers at Ibrox in September.
The Celtic striker may return to action this weekend against Ross County, after missing Scotland’s friendly against the Netherlands last week with a calf injury.
Celtic will be looking to add to their unbeaten British record of 63 games, before conitnuing their Champions League campaign.
Griffiths will be hoping to play a part for Celtic in their Champions League group stage match against PSG next Wednesday.
He was on the bench against Bayern Munich in the last group match and only played the last 11 minutes of the game.
Griffith’s injury issues have allowed Moussa Dembele to reclaim the position of first choice striker in the Celtic first team.
Dembele has taken to the role with aplomb, scoring in three of his last four appearances for the Scottish Champions.
