Celtic manager news: Major update on ‘unhappy’ Brendan Rodgers potentially being sacked
Celtic are not planning to sack Brendan Rodgers as manager despite their collapse in the Scottish Premiership, sources have told Football Insider.
Senior figures at Parkhead do not want to rush into a decision over Rodgers’ future even though the club’s form has dramatically nosedived.
The Glasgow giants previously held a seven-point lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership table, but they now find themselves two points behind arch-rivals Rangers having only picked up 10 points in their last five matches.
Sources have told Football Insider that Rodgers has “enough credit in the bank” to avoid being sacked despite poor results both domestically and in Europe this season.
Brendan Rodgers to be sacked by Celtic this summer?
Celtic finished bottom of their Champions League group with only four points and are now at risk of finishing the season without silverware with only the league and Scottish Cup left to play for.
Rodgers’ side were presented with a golden opportunity to regain top spot in the league last weekend but suffered a 2-0 defeat to Hearts at Tynecastle.

As revealed by Football Insider, Rodgers is “unhappy” with the club’s transfer business since he returned as manager in 2023.
Celtic’s latest financial accounts showed that they have £67million in the bank, yet the club’s only signing in the January transfer window was a £3million deal for winger Nicolas Kuhn.
