Tottenham have reportedly offered outcast Vincent Janssen out to Fenerbahce for £10.4million – and Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers must make his own swoop in the summer transfer window with Moussa Dembele linked away.
The Daily Express has reported that Villarreal are planning a £15million offer for Dembele, 21, in the summer and that means that Celtic will find themselves on the lookout for a new centre-forward as the Frenchman will surely find it hard to turn down La Liga.
With the money made by offloading Dembele, the Hoops must go out and sign Janssen, 23, after he was said to have been made available by Tottenham.
Turkish news outlet Fotospor has reported that Fenerhabce have been offered the Netherlands international for £10.4million as they look to cut their losses on the striker that was signed for £19million from AZ Alkmaar in 2016.
Janssen is currently on loan at the Istanbul giants Fenerbahce and is in the process of returning from an ankle injury.
He had scored two goals in 11 Super Lig appearances before his injury blow, but he is sure to be a hit in Scotland if Rodgers snaps him up and uses him as his first choice centre-forward for next term.
It would mean smashing the current transfer record, but pundits and fans have been calling on the Bhoys to break the £6million mark for years to build on the quality of their team.
Janssen clearly has what it takes to be a top striker and he could really find his groove in Glasgow’s East End.
