Celtic now have £4.3m agreement in place for summer signing under next manager
Celtic enjoyed a busy transfer deadline day as they secured three final additions to their squad.
The Bhoys had already added Julian Araujo and Tomas Cvancara to their ranks on loan deals ahead of the run-in to decide the destination of the Scottish Premiership title, and three more new faces came through the door on Tuesday.
Junior Adamu joined Celtic on loan from Freiburg until the end of the season, while Joel Mvuka and Benjamin Arthur also arrived on short-term deals from Lorient and Brentford respectively.
The trio provide a welcome boost for Martin O’Neill as he aims to help the club retain its league title, and there are already long-term plans in place for future business.

Celtic have buy option as part of Junior Adamu deal
Adamu swiftly completed a medical at Celtic ahead of the deadline and has now successfully finalised his switch from the Bundesliga until the end of the season.
The Austrian striker scored once from nine appearances in the German top flight in the first half of the campaign, and will now add further firepower for O’Neill’s men.
Celtic have had to part with a fee of £432,000 in order to secure their initial loan deal for the 24-year-old, according to journalist Anthony Joseph via his X account.
The Bhoys then have the option of turning his move permanent in the summer, by triggering the £4.3million buy option that has already been agreed as part of the transfer.
That means that when O’Neill leaves Celtic Park at the end of the season, his successor could have his first signing already ready and waiting for him, provided that Adamu proves to be a success in the coming months.
Who is the current favourite to become Celtic’s next manager?
Football Insider recently revealed that Roberto Martinez was the front-runner for the Celtic job when they make their next permanent appointment in the summer.
Transfer dealings have since taken precedence at Parkhead in recent days, but as the search for the Bhoys’ next boss continues, it is still the Spaniard who is leading the race.
Martinez is due to take charge of Portugal at this summer’s World Cup in North America, but his contract with the Portuguese Football Federation is due to expire at the end of the tournament.
That looks set to make a return to club football a genuine possibility for the 52-year-old, while Celtic are seemingly happy to try and wait until later in the summer for the opportunity to potentially appoint him.
The former Everton boss has a big CV behind him, having spent years in the Premier League, plus roles with Portugal and Belgium, and it remains possible that Celtic Park could be his next landing spot.
