Celtic on the verge of last-minute transfer as medical booked in after agreement reached
Celtic are finally set to add to their attacking options once again with a medical booked in ahead of their third January transfer.
Martin O’Neill’s side have already welcomed Julian Araujo and Tomas Cvancara through the door this month on loan deals until the end of the season, and the arrival of another new face is now imminent.
Celtic have been pushing for further reinforcements in the last few days as they bid to claw their way to the top of the Premiership table in the coming months.
The Bhoys have left it late to finalise their remaining pieces of business before Monday night’s transfer deadline, but another arrival is now firmly in the pipeline.

Junior Adamu jets in for Celtic medical
Celtic have been pushing to sign another striker after sealing the arrival of Cvancara earlier in the window, and they are now on the verge of securing the addition that they have desired.
The Glasgow giants have reached a full verbal agreement with Freiburg striker Junior Adamu, with the two clubs still in advanced discussions regarding the deal, according to Florian Plettenberg.
The finer details of the deal are still being ironed out by Celtic and the Bundesliga outfit, but the 24-year-old is alreayd on his way to Glasgow for his medical.
There is interest from elsewhere at the eleventh hour of the deal, but if no hijack takes place, then Adamu will become a Celtic player imminently.
Who is Junior Adamu?
Celtic have been pursuing Kasper Hogh strongly in recent weeks, but they have now diverted their attention in another direction in their search for a striker.
Adamu looks set to be the man to come in at the top of the pitch for the Bhoys, after he has fallen down the pecking order at Freiburg in the first half of the season.
The 24-year-old has notched one goal and one assist from just seven Bundesliga starts this term, after hitting four goal contributions to help his team to Europa League qualification last time out.
The Austrian is a product of Red Bull Salzburg’s youth academy, and went on to hit 23 goals for them at senior level, before making the switch to Germany in 2023.
Adamu has represented his country at senior level on nine occasions, but now hasn’t received a cap for his national team since 2024.
