Celtic player ratings v Hamilton: 4/10 senior player has to be axed after horror show

MIDFIELDERS

Celtic

Callum McGregor – 6: Far better than against Hibs, still not the player he was earlier in the season, just about done enough to keep his place in the team for the upcoming match against Hearts

Scott Brown – 6: A relatively quiet night by his standards, perhaps the kind of match he could have been rested in but such is his importance that he had to play

Olivier Ntcham – 8: Brilliant performance, arguably his best yet in the Hoops, covered every blade of grass and was unfortunate not to score more than one goal, a definite first-pick from now on

Stuart Armstrong – 6: Almost scored with a nice curling effort, had a decent game, but like so many others in the team his form just doesn’t compare to last season’s

James Forrest – 7: Fine curling goal restored Celtic’s lead, he now has 11 goals for the season, his best ever return, if he keeps this form up he could easily get 20 by the end of the season

Scott Sinclair – 7: Three goals in two games for the reigning player of the year who after a fairly lean spell is now looking almost back to his best, has 15 goals already for the season
