Celtic player ratings v Hearts: Mainstay 3/10 after utterly dreadful performance
COMMENT
Celtic’s proud British record of 69 domestic matches without defeat came to a shuddering halt at Tynecastle on Sunday as Hearts bullied their way to a deserved 4-0 victory over the Hoops.
The Scottish Premiership league leaders seemed ill-at-ease from the start of the game, and former Rangers man Kyle Lafferty and 16-year-old Harry Cochrane had a field day as they dragged Celtic’s centre-backs all over the place.
Brendan Rodgers made changes at half-time in an attempt to save the game but it was to no avail, as more defence errors allowed Hearts to cruise to an emphatic victory.
Aberdeen are now just two points behind the Bhoys after their win at the weekend as the race for the Scottish Premiership shows faint signs of hotting up.
The Hoops have the chance to partly make up for this result in their upcoming game in hand against Hearts this midweek, but this result will long stay in the memory of those who saw the game.
Here, Football Insider rates the Bhoys out of 10 for how they played against Hearts.
