Celtic player ratings v Hibernian: Senior duo 4/10 after shocking collapse

COMMENT

Celtic blew a two goal lead in a topsy-turvy clash with Hibs at Easter Road on Sunday afternoon which ended 2-2, as the Hoops moved five points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership.

Following a first-half notable only for James Forrest missing an absolute sitter, Scott Sinclair gave the Hoops the lead after pouncing on an Odsonne Edouard shot that hit the post.

The English winger made it 2-0 five minutes later with a deflected shot, seeming to put Brendan Rodgers’ side into a commanding lead.

However, the game was far from over, and two goals in three minutes from Efe Ambrose and Oli Shaw brought Hibs level to cosign the Hoops to a shocking collapse.

There was still time for Craig Gordon to nearly cost the Bhoys the game by dropping the ball – Mikael Lustig cleared Shaw’s effort off the line – and for Sinclair to smash the ball over the bar with the last kick of the game.
