Celtic player ratings v Partick: 4/10 senior player has shocker in win
Celtic moved 11 points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Partick Thistle at Firhill on Tuesday night.
Brendan Rodgers didn’t make any changes to the team which defeated Brechin on Saturday, which meant that Odsonne Edouard was the lone striker and Leigh Griffths and Moussa Dembele were on the bench.
The Hoops began the game quite well, before a mistake by Mikael Lustig as he pulled back Miles Storey in the penalty box, Conor Sammon converted the penalty to give the Jags the lead.
Rodgers made a change at half-time, changing formation and replacing Lustig with Griffiths.
The Hoops equalised in the 55th minute, Scott Sinclair winning and then converting a penalty.
Griffiths completed the turnaround in the 70th minute with a fine bit of individual skill for his 11th goal of the season.
The Bhoys were comfortable after that and held on for the three points.
