Defender torn apart: Celtic player ratings v Partick Thistle
By Matt Farr
Football Insider rates the Celtic players during their 1-0 Scottish Premiership victory over Partick Thistle on Tuesday night.
Craig Gordon 8 – Kept busy throughout by Partick’s forward-men. Kept Celtic in the contest, despite wasteful finishing.
Cristian Gamboa 6 – Had a good game at the back. Got forward when possible
Mikael Lustig 5 – An awkward night at the back. Second best to Ziggy Gordon for most of the evening
Jozo Simunovic 4 – Caught dithering on the ball, repeated mistakes, and out-muscled. A miserable day for the defender

Calvin Miller 7 – A promising start to his first-team career. Looked calm and assured on debut, and was tested by Partick.
Patrick Roberts 6 – Constantly active, loved cutting inside. Not a very fluent attacking display from Celtic, though.
Scott Brown 6 – Sometimes careless in possession. Unable to dominate midfield.
Liam Henderson 6 – Delivery from set-pieces and dead-ball situations was good. Looked promising going forward.
Callum McGregor 6 – Looked purposeful in attack, but struggled to penetrate the Partick back-line
Scott Sinclair 7 – Slick attacking play. Scored the game’s only goal.
Moussa Dembele 6 – Good movement on and off the ball, but a largely ineffective day for the Celtic forward.
Subs:
Emilio Izaguirre 6 (for Miller 63)
Stuart Armstrong 6 (for Sinclair 69)
Leigh Griffiths 6 (for Dembele 76)
