Celtic expected 4-2-3-1 v Hearts: 27-year-old omitted in four changes

By Aramide Oladipo

Celtic take on Hearts in the final game of the league season at Celtic Park as they bid to make history and complete an unbeaten season under new boss Brendan Rodgers.

The Scottish champions will be bouncing into this game with bags of confidence as they are currently on a four game winning streak in the league and they would love to make that five with a win in front of their home support on the last day of the season.

With this in mind, Rodgers is likely to make some changes to freshen things up especially in the back four.

Having rested them for the midweek game, Rodgers could bring back Mikael Lustig and Kieran Tierney into the back four in order for them to get some minutes under their belt before the upcoming Scottish Cup final against Aberdeen at the end of the month.

Stuart Armstrong might also be brought back into the picture as he also rested for the match against Partick Thistle.

This would mean that 27-year-old  Cristian Gamboa is likely to be omitted with Erik Sviatchenko, Callum McGregor and Emilio Izaguirre all also expected to drop to the substitutes’ bench.

With Moussa Dembele still out of the equation, Leigh Griffiths is likely to lead the line once again having scored a goal in midweek.
