‘Celtic ready to go all out for Calvert-Lewin after Kuhn, Maeda, Kyogo updates’
Celtic may step up their pursuit of former Everton star Dominic Calvert-Lewin but they will have to fend off interest from several Premier League clubs.
The Hoops’ upcoming defence of their Scottish Premiership title looks set to be one of their most difficult in recent history.
Rangers are flush with cash after Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises completed their takeover of Celtic’s old foes and are spending accordingly.
Adding to the pressure on Brendan Rodgers will be the need to completely revamp his forward line with several key players looking to be on their way out of Parkhead this summer.

Calvert-Lewin possible replacement for outgoing Daizen Maeda
Kyogo Furuhashi looked to be on his way back to Celtic after a miserable spell in France, but the Japanese striker has instead signed for Birmingham.
As if missing out on re-signing the fan favourite wasn’t bad enough, last season’s top scorer Daizen Maeda has interest from Tottenham, Pete O’Rourke told Football Insider.
Further adding to Rodgers’ woes, the transfer correspondent revealed to Football Insider that Nicolas Kuhn is undergoing a medical with Italian side Como.

Finally, Jota is set to miss the beginning of the season after suffering a cruciate ligament injury, leaving Rodgers with few options across his front line.
As a response, Celtic may look to add Calvert-Lewin to their ranks, and Keith Wyness told Football Insider “it would be brilliant” to see the striker make the move to Scotland.
Despite the striker enduring a difficult last few seasons at Everton, the England international is still held in high regard.
Fulham are interested in signing Calvert-Lewin, meaning the Hoops will have to fend off interest from the London-based club before they can secure the 28-year-old’s signature.
The former Sheffield United striker may have a poor injury record in recent seasons, but his quality in front of goal will no doubt be of interest to Rodgers, and with no transfer fee needing to be paid Celtic may well be able to sign the English striker whilst also having enough cash in the bank to add a younger prospect as cover, should the forward suffer a recurrence of his fitness issues.

Celtic to add Louie Barry thanks to Calvert-Lewin injury record
Ex-England goalkeeper Paul Robinson told Football Insider that Celtic could sign Louie Barry this summer.
The former Barcelona academy star looked set to be on his way to Hull City on a permanent deal after spending last season on loan at the Championship side.
However, the Tigers are facing a transfer embargo after late payments to Aston Villa as part of the striker’s loan deal, and a transfer has been cancelled.
This has given Celtic the perfect opportunity to secure the signing of a young star who could learn plenty from an experienced player like Calvert-Lewin, whilst also offering the talent required to be a valuable player in Rodgers’ squad.
