Celtic remember the 'Broony' but did they forget what happened next?
Celtic took to Twitter to remind everyone that it was seven years to the day since Scott Brown’s “Broony” celebration started when he jumped infront of Rangers’ El-Hadji Diouf after scoring in an Old Firm game but did they forget what happened next?

Brown celebrated scoring in a Scottish Cup tie at Ibrox by jumping infront of the loudmouth Gers striker with his arms outstretched but it was the Senegalese forward who mimicked the pose later that season with trophies in his hands and winner’s medals around his neck.
Celebrating a celebration of a goal from a run-of-the-mill cup tie that ended in a draw and wasn’t particularly a game that lives log in the memory seems odd – it’s a bit like a boxer celebrating getting a knockdown in the first round despite losing the fight after being knocked out.
Maybe there’s something that is missing that makes this celebration particularly “iconic” for Celtic fans but it’s a game that barely registers on the list of classic Old Firm encounters.
While Celtic are celebrating seven years since the “Broony”, come May when it is seven years from the “Dioufy” – that is the same celebration but with a trophy in your hand – they might remember how that season ended.
