Celtic snub Tom English’s question as Michael Nicholson situation explained
Celtic is engulfed by an atmosphere that appears to be getting more and more toxic with every passing week.
Fans have called on Wilfried Nancy to be sacked by Celtic, after the head coach led his team to defeat against St. Mirren in the Scottish League Cup final on Sunday.
The Frenchman arrived just days ago and is already under massive pressure, although much of the rage is directed towards the higher-ups.
Celtic fans are furious with the board for a string of unpopular decisions, with the likes of Dermot Desmond and Michael Nicholson taking the brunt.
Desmond would not be short of offers if he decides to sell Celtic – the outcome that is hoped for by many fans.

Celtic ignore ‘routine question’ as incompetency revealed
Chief executive officer Nicholson was appointed in 2021, but the anger directed towards him has come to a head in recent months.
Celtic banned the Green Brigade from Celtic Park at the start of the month, but that is just the latest in a line of questionable moves.
Celtic results
Celtic 1-2 Hearts
Celtic 0-3 Roma
St. Mirren 3-1 Celtic
Brendan Rodgers resigned as Celtic boss in October, in a decision that came off the back of his questioning of transfer policy.
But the team’s performance has largely proven that the Northern Irishman was right, with the Bhoys now seriously struggling under Nancy.
Fan anger was summed up perfectly when Celtic’s annual meeting was abandoned in November as shareholders repeatedly chanted “sack the board”.
Fan media have now been banned from attending press conferences, with BBC Scotland reporter Tom English explaining on Monday how difficult it has been to get an answer out of anyone at the club.
“A few Celtic folk asking why journalists don’t ask Michael Nicholson et al to explain what’s going on at Celtic,” English wrote on social media.
“There’s been no opportunity to ask questions. In October I messaged somebody in there a routine question with an easy yes/no answer and I still haven’t had a reply”.
Celtic Park primed to explode
Celtic will travel away to Dundee United on Wednesday, with Nancy in serious need of a positive result to turn the tide.
The Frenchman will likely be glad to avoid Celtic Park until the weekend, such is the mood toxic at the moment.
For the board, however, there is no escape from the wrath of the fans. Anger will continue to bubble, and the situation does not look like improving.
The departures of Kevin Thelwell and Patrick Stewart at Rangers proved the power of that frustration, and a similar situation may well play out at Celtic in the coming weeks.
