Celtic star Conor Hazard will undergo a Plymouth Argyle medical on Monday ahead of completing a permanent move, sources have told Football Insider.
The goalkeeper, 25, has agreed terms with the Championship new boys after they had a £150,000 bid accepted by the Hoops.
It will bring an end to Hazard’s lengthy association with Celtic, where he has progressed from the youth set-up into the senior squad.
Hazard, who spent last season on loan at HJK Helsinki, signed a four-year deal that is due to expire at Celtic next year.
Plymouth are preparing for their first season back in the Championship after getting promotion from League One last term.
Argyle’s first choice shot stopper Michael Cooper has been sidelined since February with a cruciate ligament rupture but penned a contract extension in March keeping him at the club until 2025.
The 23-year-old, you has been at the club since he was nine years old, made 121 successive league starts before his injury at Sheffield Wednesday.
As quoted by the BBC (9 March), Plymouth boss Steven Schumacher said the club were preparing to listen to offers for the keeper this summer before his injury and contract extension.
Now, Cooper might not be available for the start of the season, given the extent of his injury.
