Moussa Dembele makes bold claim about Celtic clash v Zenit
Celtic star striker Moussa Dembele has boldly claimed that the Hoops have what it takes to defeat Zenit St Petersburg in their Europa League last 32 clash and “mark a mark” on the competition.
The Hoops face the Russian side managed by Roberto Mancini in an intriguing looking tie next February.
The Scottish champions find themselves in the Europa League after finishing third in their Champions League group.
Now Dembele, as quoted by the Daily Mail, believes that the Celts will cut out the mistakes which caused them to crash out of the Champions League group stages where the suffered heavy defeats to Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich.
He said: “I think we’re good enough to make a mark on the competition, otherwise we wouldn’t be there.
‘We were in the Champions League and it didn’t really go our way but we learn from our mistakes.

“Now we have the chance to play in Europe after Christmas, so we need to train hard and make sure we are ready to compete.”
Dembele has struggled to overcome injury this season but showed glimpses that he was back to his form of last season in the Champions League games against Bayern Munich and PSG.
He has scored four Champions League goals for the Hoops in two seasons and will be a key man in their attempts to make a run in the Europa League.
Before the Zenit matches, the Celts have a hectic domestic schedule to navigate, beginning with a match at Celtic Park against Hamilton.
The Bhoys will be looking to maintain their five point lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership and get back to winning ways following the 2-2 draw with Hibs.
