Celtic star Matt O’Riley ‘worth £75m’ as ‘big bid’ readied – pundit
Celtic will be tested with bids for Matt O’Riley from top European clubs this summer, especially if they don’t reach the Champions League group stage.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Paul Robinson insisted that the midfielder would be worth treble Celtic’s asking price of £25million if he was playing for a top English club, putting his price tag at £75million.
The former England goalkeeper stated that they will have a chance at retaining O’Riley’s services this summer if they can reach the group stage.
However, the 23-year-old will have the opportunity to leave if they are knocked out early.
Football Insider previously revealed that, having turned down a bid from Atletico Madrid in January, Celtic are braced for further offers.

Interest in O’Riley has been strong from across Europe with teams from both England and Spain tracking his progress this season.
Having arrived at the club for just £1.5m from MK Dons in 2022, the Denmark international’s contract runs until 2027, meaning Celtic hold the cards in negotiations.
“He’s been excellent domestically. He’s been their top scorer domestically,” he told Football Insider.
“With what he gives and the engine that he’s got, if he’s playing in a team that’s won the Premier League in England, his value is probably treble what it is at Celtic.
“That fact is that Celtic are where they are and they will be a selling club if a big European club comes in.
“Their resolve will be tested for him. You look at his age and his ability, top clubs will come in.
“If they don’t get to the group stages [of the Champions League], there will be an opportunity for him to leave, but if they don’t, there’s a real opportunity to keep him and build the team around him.
“If they don’t need to sell him, they can sit on their hands and wait for a big bid.”
