Celtic strongest XI: In-form ace and summer signings omitted

By James Black

After going the entire of last season unbeaten domestically, Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic squad only needed some minor tweaks over the summer.

The Northern Irishman added five new faces to his Invincibles as they prepared for another tilt at the Champions League.

Despite last season’s successes, the former Liverpool boss has moved on a host of fringe players as he continues to build his own squad at Celtic Park.

With the transfer business now done, fans will be able to debate the strongest starting XI without having to consider caveats of ongoing negotiations for arrivals or departures.

So, which of the 5 new boys makes the cut? Does Rodgers stick with the squad who wrote their names into the history books last season?
