With Moussa Dembele injured, Griffiths has an opportunity to secure his place as Celtic’s main striker.
The 27-year-old scores goals on a regular basis but struggles with other aspects of his game, leading to stints on the bench, but with the loan signing of Odsonne Edouard added to Dembele, Griffiths faces a harder fight than ever before to retain his place in Rodgers’ side.
Five goals in nine appearances so far this season will certainly help.
Once Dembele returns from injury, he’ll lead the line ahead of Griffiths.
