Celtic fans react on Twitter to Griffiths omission

By Amir Mir

Leigh Griffiths was not named in the squad to face Motherwell at Fir Park – and Celtic fans on Twitter questioned his absence from the team.

Brendan Rodgers side, who are unbeaten in 12 games this season, will be looking to extend their eight point lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership with a win on Saturday afternoon.

They take on Motherwell who are sixth in the table with 15 points from 14 games with Celtic beating them 2-0 in October during the reverse fixture.

Hoops supporters questioned the absence of their senior striker Griffiths, who made a brief appearance from the bench during their 3-0 win over Aberdeen in the Scottish League Cup final last Sunday.

Fans stated that they were growing increasingly concerned about the 26-year-old who has fallen out of favour with his club manager.
