27-year-old must be axed: Three things we learned about Celtic from win v Dundee
By James Black
Celtic booked their place in the semi-final of the Scottish League Cup last night with a comprehensive 4-0 over Dundee at Dens Park.
Goals from Scott Sinclair, Callum McGregor and another James Forrest double saw Brendan Rodgers’ side put their name in the draw alongside Rangers, Hibernian and Aberdeen or Motherwell.
The Hoops strolled past Dundee and never needed to get out of first gear as they eased their way to a win in their last game before Saturday’s Old Firm clash at Ibrox.
Brendan Rodgers once again opted for a three-man defence – with a lack of options for much else – and the big question is whether he will he will continue that at Ibrox.
Despite concerns over who plays at the back this weekend, it’s been a one of Celtic’s more under-appreciated players who has surely made himself the first name on Rodgers’ teamsheet on Saturday.
