Almost everything Brendan Rodgers has touched at Celtic has turned to gold so far.

Treble winners in his debut season; undefeated domestically since taking charge; consecutive Champions League group stage qualifications. It’s difficult to argue he’s been anything other than an unquestioned success.

However, results on the pitch don’t always tell the whole story and not every game has been full of stand-out performances by Celtic’s players.

Injury has forced Rodgers’ hand in defence but the team retains a similar feel to the one which romped to a treble last season.

With the transfer window closed and the manager happy with the make-up of his squad – as well as keeping a hold of some key performers – the pressure is on for a repeat of last season’s exploits.
