Celtic tipped to rake in significant profit as triple deal lined up – pundit
Celtic can sign players like Reo Hatate, Daizen Maeda and Yosuke Ideguchi from the J-League on the cheap and sell them for a “good amount of profit”.
That is the view of ex-Aston Villa and England attacker Gabby Agbonlahor, speaking exclusively to Football Insider as Ange Postecoglou continues to exploit the Japanese market.
Sky Sports reported yesterday (13 December) the Hoops are close to agreeing a deal with Kawasaki Frontale for utility player Hatate and it could be completed soon.

It is also claimed they are in talks with forward Daizen Maeda of Postecoglou’s old club Yokohama F. Marinos while Gamba Osaka’s midfielder Yosuke Ideguchi is a target.
“If they’ve got the quality, then you will probably get them for cheaper, so it makes sense,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“Then you have a platform of three or four Japanese players that can help each other settle. I think it’s a good idea.
“As long as they’re good enough for Celtic, then there’s no harm in it.
“Kyogo has been in outstanding form and has done a great job.
“I’m sure they’ll watch these players, review the clips and make sure they make the right decision for Celtic.
“Sometimes that can be the way. Buy them cheap, get them to Celtic where they can do well. Celtic will then probably end up selling them for a big amount of profit.”

Kyogo has scored 14 times in 24 appearances for Celtic since his summer switch.
