Kenny 'expects' Celtic to sign Premier League playmaker after 'clear signal'
Ange Postecglou could be plotting to bring an out-of-favour Premier League playmaker to Celtic this January.
So says ex-Premier League shot-stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the manager’s latest revealing remarks.
Attacking midfielder Tom Rogic has been ruled out for three weeks with a hamstring injury sustained against Hibernian on 27 October.
The Hoops will be without the Australian when they face Ferencvaros in their crucial Europa League group stage clash tonight (4 November).
The news prompted Postecoglou to confess that he would like to add “reinforcements in January”, as quoted by the Scottish Sun on 29 October.
His Celtic side trail Rangers by four points in the Scottish Premiership after their 0-0 draw with Livingston on 30 October.

Kenny claimed that the manager could look south of the border when he tries to add to his garrison in the mid-season window.
He told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams: “Financially, I think it is difficult for them to go out and buy anybody at the moment.
“But I’m sure they’ll be looking for someone in the right mould. He’s given that clear signal he wants to strengthen, so I expect it and it’ll be interesting to see who he gets.
“He could go after someone who isn’t getting much game time in the Premier League, maybe with a loan deal. That’s an option.
“It wouldn’t surprise me if he goes after someone who he knows from his time in Japan either. We know he’s done that before.”
