Celtic told ‘there’s a deal to be done’ to seal cut-price Carter-Vickers deal – Kenny
Tottenham will have to reduce their asking price if they want to sell Cameron Carter-Vickers to Celtic.
That’s according to former Leeds stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the chances of the defender remaining at Parkhead beyond this season.
On 1 December, Record Sport reported Celtic will need to shell out £10million to secure the permanent signing of Carter-Vickers, 23.

The defender has made 17 appearances in all competitions since joining the Hoops on loan from Tottenham last summer (2021).
Kenny isn’t sure Celtic have the funds to complete the deal but suggested Spurs would be open to dropping their asking price.
“It’s a lot of money,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“But he’s doing really well at Celtic and they will want to know soon about his future. I would be surprised if Celtic could afford that.
“He is a key player but maybe they won’t be able to push the boat out.
“I imagine the club want to keep him around if they are trying to keep within touching distance of Rangers.
“On a personal level, I’m sure he wants to stay. You look at how much football he’s playing. how can you not be happy with that?
“They have a cup final in a few weeks as well so they could easily give him silverware.
“I think there is a deal to be done but Spurs might have to bring that asking price down in negotiations.”

Carter-Vickers missed Thursday night’s win over Hearts with Ange Postecoglou stating the player had a “personal issue”.
It was not explained when he could return.
