Celtic transfer news: Adam Idah stance on permanent move revealed – Sources

On-loan Celtic striker Adam Idah is open to a potential permanent move to the club in the summer window, sources have told Football Insider.

The 23-year-old has started his time at Parkhead in red-hot form, scoring four goals in four Scottish Premiership appearances.

Idah scored twice from the bench on Sunday (25 February) to spearhead a late comeback for Celtic, who ran out 3-1 winners away at Motherwell.

He joined the Hoops on loan from Norwich for the remainder of the 2023-24 campaign on transfer deadline day earlier this month (1 February).

A well-placed source has told Football Insider that Idah would be open to signing at Celtic permanently in the off-season.

Celtic star Idah ‘open’ to signing permanent deal

It is believed the potential to play in the Champions League is a “big draw” for the 23-year-old.

However, the Glasgow giants did not negotiate a buy option in the loan agreement with Norwich.

The Republic of Ireland international striker was struggling for game time under Canaries boss David Wagner.

He had scored seven goals in 34 games in the first half of the season but was not starting regularly for the Norfolk side.

Idah came through the ranks with the Carrow Road club and has scored 17 goals in 115 senior appearances in England.

He has started in three of his five Celtic appearances to date, scoring four and assisting one as the Hoops fight Rangers for the Scottish Premiership title.

Brendan Rodgers’ side are now two points behind their bitter rivals with two Old Firm games remaining this term.
