Celtic tweet highlights just how impressive recent run has been

By James Black

Celtic have posted a remarkable tweet which shows just how impressive their remarkable run of domestic form has been.

The social media site increased the long-standing 140 character limit for users to 280 on Tuesday and Celtic’s official account used up the lion’s share of them by tweeting the outcome of each of the last 63 domestic games the Hoops have been involved in.

The Scottish champions last tasted defeat in May 2016 under Ronny Deila and have avoided defeat in every single game Brendan Rodgers has taken charge of since his appointment.

The Hoops’s 63-game run shattered a 100-year-old record for a British team set by Willie Maley’s Bhoys in 1917.

The Glasgow giants currently sit at the top of the Scottish Premiership with a three-point lead over second-placed Aberdeen and face a Scottish League Cup final with Motherwell later this month.

Brendan Rodgers has also taken his side to the brink of a place in continental football after Christman for the first time in five years after guiding Celtic to only their second away win ever in the Champions League.

The Hoops return to action after the international break on November 18th when they travel to Dingwall to face Ross County in the Scottish Premiership.
