Celtic winger Scott Sinclair took to Instagram on Monday to show his delight at the return of Kieran Tierney following Sunday’s 3-0 win over Albion Rovers in the Scottish Cup.
The former Manchester City and Chelsea man scored a wonder goal to open the scoring during the win, which was assisted by Tierney who made his first appearance back in the team since picking up an ankle injury in October.
The young left-back managed to get an hour of playing time under his belt as he continues his recovery process.
Moussa Dembele and Stuart Armstrong also got on the score sheet on Sunday, but it was Tierney who Sinclair paid testament to on social media.
“Great result yesterday also happy to see this guy back @kierantierney” posted Sinclair on his personal Instagram account.
Sinclair, 27, joined Celtic from Aston Villa in the summer after the Midlands giants were relegated from the Premier League.
He has scored 13 goals in 28 appearances across all competitions this season and appears to be recapturing the form he once had at Swansea before a big-money move to Manchester City.
Celtic’s next game in the Scottish Premiership is against St. Johnstone on Wednesday night.
Brendan Rogers’ men are currently 19 points clear at the top of the table and look set to record a sixth straight league title.
