Championship sack race: Eric Ramsay now big contender to go next as new odds-on favourite emerges
After another round of Championship fixtures, several managers have edged closer to the sack as results continue to go against them.
Saturday had plenty of shock results, with Coventry City once again failing to pick up a win as they lost 2-1 to QPR.
However, perhaps the most damning results came at the bottom of the table, with Valerien Ismael once again losing at Blackburn Rovers, this time to Hull City.
On top of this, Eric Ramsay continued his winless start at West Brom, with a shocking 3-0 defeat to Portsmouth at Fratton Park.
Now, the duo have become the frontrunners to be booted out of a job next.
Valerien Ismael the favourite to be sacked next in the Championship
Ismael has been under pressure at Blackburn Rovers for some time.
The Lancashire side are without a win in their last nine matches, a run that has seen them fall into the relegation zone.
With Blackburn now three points from safety, one bookmaker has made Ismael the favourite to be sacked next at 8/11.
Previously, former Leicester City manager Marti Cifuentes had been the favourite, until he was dismissed this week.
Following this, Ramsay is being tipped for a quick dismissal at The Hawthorns, after a dire start to life at the Black Country club.

The Minnesota United has lost three of his last four matches, which has pulled the Baggies down to 21st in the table, three points clear of Blackburn.
After another humiliating defeat on the weekend, Ramsay is only 3/1 to be sacked next.
Another potential candidate is Henrik Pedersen, with Sheffield Wednesday fans beginning to turn on their manager.

The Owls are without a win since September, and while relegation is expected this season, they are currently set to not even reach a positive points tally.
Therefore, the bookies have the Dane at 6/1 to be booted out next.
Who are the outsiders to be sacked next in the Championship?
Potential outsiders to go next include Watford manager Javi Gracia and Birmingham City coach Chris Davies at 9/1 and 14/1.
Both sides have been in contrasting form recently, with Watford now four Championship matches without a win, causing them to fall to 10th.

In comparison, Davies, who had been one of the favourites for the sack for weeks, has recovered Birmingham City’s form and are now on an unbeaten run of six matches in all competitions.
However, it remains to be seen if this will keep him in the job long-term as the Blues look to return to the Premier League.
