PL forward: I have name of this Rangers player on back of my shirt
Swansea forward Oli McBurnie has revealed he has Jason Cummings’ name on the back of his Rangers shirt and thinks he would play well together with the on-loan Nottingham Forest striker.
McBurnie has made no secret of the fact he is a Rangers fan and has quickly become a big favourite with Gers fans on Twitter for his support of the Light Blues.
The Premier League striker, who is on loan at Barnsley, is in Alex McLeish’s Scotland squad alongside the Ibrox star and admits he loves the way he “doesn’t care” what other people say or think.
“I’ve also got the ‘Cummings 26’ Rangers top now he’s at Ibrox. He’s a great lad and is showing what he can do on the field as well.” McBurnie said, as quoted by the Daily Record.
“I love the way he doesn’t care what anyone thinks or says. He just goes out and plays the game like a kid. You play your best football when you are enjoying yourself and that’s what he does. It’s very refreshing.
“We have always played well together, through the Under-21s and the like, so I don’t see why we couldn’t still.”

McBurnie has been on fire since joining Barnsley on transfer deadline day on loan from Swansea City and Gers fans hope the striker can make a switch to Ibrox before too long.
The 21-year-old was rumoured to be close to a move to Ibrox in January but nothing came of it before he completed a switch to Oakwell.
Football Insider verdict:
McBurnie having Cummings’ name on the back of his Rangers shirt will no doubt win him a few more fans online and it’s no surprise the Scotland striker has his close friend’s name on his shirt. McBurnie has been in great form for Barnsley since moving from Swansea and could be a good addition to the Light Blues squad – alongside Cummings – in the summer. It’s been a rapid progression for the forward who has quickly gone from playing reserve football for Swansea to an international call and being linked with a move to his boyhood heroes.
