Charlie Taylor shows brilliant knowledge about Leeds history, fans will be impressed

By Amir Mir

Charlie Taylor showed his brilliant knowledge about Leeds’ history during some festive fun with teammates.

The 23-year-old left-back was able to name when the Whites lifted the FA Cup trophy and who scored the only goal of the game.

The Championship side have won England’s most famous domestic trophy on one occasion when they beat Arsenal at Wembley over four decades ago.

York-born Taylor, without hesitation, named the date of the cup final triumph and the goalscorer as posted by the club’s official Twitter account.

Forward Allan Clarke wrote his name into Leeds history when he scored the goal which lifted their first and to this date only FA Cup win.

Defender Taylor came through the ranks at the Yorkshire club as he has now established himself as one of their main assets.

Garry Monk’s side are aiming for instant promotion this season and Taylor has been a big part of their success thus far.

He has played 25 Championship and EFL Cup games for Leeds this season, assisting three goals and helping keep nine clean sheets during those games.

The former Fleetwood player is expected to take to the field when his side takes on Preston North End at Deepdale on Boxing Day.

Monk’s men will be looking for their third win and clean sheet on the bounce as they will be hoping to maintain their top-six spot.
