‘Chelsea could now accept Raheem Sterling offer sell at huge loss’
Chelsea outcast Raheem Sterling has two years left on his contract but has no future at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues star reportedly earns £325,000-a-week in west London – or over £33million across the remainder of his deal.
Sterling spent the 2024-25 campaign on loan with Arsenal but scored just once in 28 appearances across all competitions.
The four-time Premier League winner joined Chelsea from Man City in 2022 for almost £50million.
Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – has insisted Chelsea will be left playing “pass the parcel” with Sterling until his contract expires.

Chelsea will be left paying £27m to Sterling, says Wyness
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Wyness insisted Chelsea will be forced to take a loan offer covering just 20% of his wages – leaving the Blues holding the bag for around £27million up to 2027.
Enzo Maresca’s side are expected to add more attackers in this summer window and have already agreed a deal for Borussia Dortmund’s Jamie Gittens.
Wyness insisted a newly-promoted club could be the best loan destination for Sterling.

He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “I think they will take the club that will pay the most contribution towards his wages.
“His experience can still count with certain clubs. That’s why I think the ones coming back up over the top of the Championship may be the right ones for him.
“Look, he’s an expensive commodity for Chelsea and it’s going to be like pass the parcel, they’re either going to be stuck with him or else they’re going to find somebody.
“They’ll probably take 20% of his wages right now, I would think would be the sort of going rate that you’d expect that people would pay.
“Sterling’s loan spell at Arsenal, he did not set the world on fire. I think it’s going to be difficult for Chelsea, but they’ll let him go for whatever they can get.”

Nkunku also set for Chelsea exit
Meanwhile, Football Insider has revealed (1 July) that Chelsea will be forced to sell players in the coming weeks with Christopher Nkunku expected to be among the first exits.
Joao Pedro and Gittens are set to join Chelsea for a combined fee of over £100million.
Nkunku is pushing to leave Stamford Bridge as a result, and the France international won’t be the only one to depart this summer.
