Chelsea fans are all saying the same thing about Raheem Sterling after display against Leicester

Chelsea fans want Raheem Sterling sold this summer after his “useless” performance against Leicester City on Sunday afternoon (17 March).

The struggling Blues needed another late winner against Championship opposition to advance to the semi-finals of the FA Cup with a 4-2 win at Stamford Bridge.

The scoreline flattered Chelsea, but goals from Marc Cucurella, Cole Palmer and two late wonder strikes from Carney Chukwuemeka and Noni Madueke cancelled out Axel Disasi’s shock own goal and Stephy Mavididi’s screamer.

However, supporters were quick to slaughter Sterling, who made multiple mistakes and wasted plenty of chances, for his lacklustre outing.

His poorly-taken penalty in the 26th minute was blasted straight down the middle and proved no issue for Foxes goalkeeper Jakub Stolarczyk.

Late in the first half, he failed to double the Blues’ lead again by leathering a one-on-one chance wide of the post.

An assist for Cole Palmer’s doubler did little to convince fans that he has a future at the Premier League giants and his woeful free-kick moments after Leicester’s Callum Doyle was sent off did nothing to help his case.

Sources have also told Football Insider (17 March) that the 29-year-old winger is expected to be part of a firesale this summer as the Blues look to raise funds to comply with Profit and Sustainability Rules.

In light of his latest display, fans have bashed the forward, and plenty want to see him make a swift exit to the Saudi Pro League.
