Chelsea fans overjoyed as new signing agreed for 2026
Chelsea supporters have celebrated the news that the Stamford Bridge club will sign Emanuel Emegha in 2026.
While Enzo Maresca’s men are vying to achieve more success after winning the Conference League and the Club World Cup this year, sources have told Football Insider that Chelsea are likely to face a points deduction if they are proven to have gained a sporting advantage after being charged by the FA.
The West Londoners were charged on Thursday, 11 September, for 74 alleged rule breaches relating to agent payments between 2009 and 2022.
Maresca enjoyed a busy summer transfer window, as Chelsea signed Alejandro Garnacho from Manchester United and acquired players like Brazil winger Estevao and former Ajax defender Jorrel Hato.
The Blues have started the new Premier League season well, with consecutive wins over West Ham United and Fulham following their 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace on the opening weekend.
Chelsea utilised the transfer window to reshuffle their forward line, as Joao Pedro and Liam Delap both joined from Brighton and Ipswich Town, respectively.
Contrastingly, striker Nicolas Jackson joined Bayern Munich, having become surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge.
Unfortunately for Maresca, Delap has been ruled out for up to three months through injury, whereas Marc Guiu was recalled from his loan move to Sunderland.
Chelsea’s forward line will look difference once again in 2026, when Emegha moves to West London from Strasbourg.
The 22-year-old notched a promising return of 14 goals and three assists in 29 appearances for the French club last season.

Chelsea fans share excitement as Emanuel Emegha deal confirmed
Even though the summer transfer window has closed, Chelsea confirmed via X on Friday, 12 September: “Chelsea Football Club has agreed a deal to sign striker Emanuel Emegha, with the Dutchman officially joining in 2026.”
One member of the Stamford Bridge faithful commented: “Next Drogba”, while another said “Let’s go, he’s better than Jackson already.”
