Chelsea fans rage at Jason Cundy after what he said about Mykhaylo Mudryk

Chelsea fans have urged Jason Cundy to remain patient with Mykhaylo Mudryk after the pundit said he believes a loan move would do the Ukrainian good.

Mudryk, 23, is yet to justify the massive £88.5million fee that Chelsea spent on him back in January 2023 having scored just seven goals and provided seven assists in 66 appearances across all competitions.

This season, the left-winger has shown flashes of the player Chelsea fans expected him to be, but has fallen down the pecking order since Jadon Sancho joined the club on loan from Man United on transfer deadline day.

Mudryk’s only starts this season have come in cup competitions, where he provided two assists against Barrow and Gent in the League Cup and Europa Conference League respectively.

Chelsea fans disagree with Jason Cundy on Mykhaylo Mudryk

Cundy, 54, an ex-Chelsea player turned pundit told TalkSPORT, “I think he has got to go out on loan. I don’t see a place for him at the moment. He’s now behind Sancho, he’s behind Neto, he’s behind Noni Madueke, he’s behind Joao Felix.

“He’s way down that pecking order for me. I don’t see a player in there because you know you have got football IQ.

“He is rapid, but at times I feel as though the pace, his feet are too quick for his brain, he can’t quite adjust quick enough. He has got so much under the bonnet, but boy, does he disappoint.”
