Chelsea fans thrilled by ‘best news ever’ after Noni Madueke update

Chelsea supporters reacted all but unanimously to a fresh update on Noni Madueke’s future, as speculation continues to grow around a possible summer departure.

While the Blues ended the season on a high, securing Champions League football and lifting the Conference League trophy, the focus has quickly shifted to their plans for the transfer window.

One major decision already made involves Jadon Sancho. Chelsea have opted against signing Sancho permanently and will reportedly pay a £5 million fee to cancel any obligation to buy.

On the opposite flank, Noni Madueke has now found himself at the centre of exit rumours. In April, Mick Brown told Football Insider that Tottenham were leading the race for Madueke’s signature, with interest also mounting from several Bundesliga clubs.

With uncertainty surrounding his place in the squad, fans have now responded to a new update regarding Madueke’s situation this summer.

Chelsea set to consider Noni Madueke offer amid winger shake-up

Jacob Steinberg of The Guardian revealed on X that Chelsea are “open to offers” for Madueke this summer, 24 hours after the news was exclusively revealed by Football Insider.

He added that there is a growing feeling within the club that the 23-year-old’s development has “stalled” since joining from PSV Eindhoven in January 2023.

Despite scoring 11 goals in all competitions last season, Madueke has struggled for consistency, particularly in front of goal—netting just twice in the Premier League during the current calendar year.

Football Insider previously reported that Madueke is increasingly likely to leave Stamford Bridge in the coming months, with both Tottenham and Aston Villa said to be seriously interested in securing his signature.

Chelsea fans call for Noni Madueke sale as they chase Jamie Gittens

With Madueke’s future hanging in the balance, adding to uncertainty surrounding Mykhailo Mudryk and Sancho leaving, the Blues are expected to pursue a new winger this summer.

Football Insider reported back in April that Chelsea had moved ahead of Liverpool in the race to sign Borussia Dortmund’s Jamie Gittens, and interest has only intensified since then.

Should a new winger arrive, it would further limit Madueke’s chances at Chelsea. Supporters have already begun voicing their views online, with many urging the club to part ways with the England winger.

One fan wrote: “Madueke time is up, three years in Chelsea and he still can’t start 3 games in a row” while another added: “Completely agree. Sell this guy, best decision.”
