Chelsea must throw reported PL approach for attacker in the bin, 18/19 season can be breakout
Crystal Palace have reportedly approached Chelsea about the possibility of taking attacker Tammy Abraham on loan next season, but the Blues should throw their interest in the bin.
The Guardian claims that Palace have expressed an interest in the 20-year-old and would love to take him on a season-long loan, something they did with Ruben Loftus-Cheek in the recent campaign.
It is unclear if the England Under-21 international would be open to another temporary spell away from Stamford Bridge, but Antonio Conte’s side should make the decision for him by promotion him to the first team.
Abraham is an extremely talented product of the Chelsea academy and first showed his true potential by scoring 26 goals across all competitions during a loan spell with Bristol City in the 2016/17 season.
The 6ft 2in (source: Tranfermarkt) monstrous centre-forward then stepped up another level recently, scoring eight goals and supplying five assists for Swansea in all competitions.

He has surely done enough to warrant a serious crack at the Chelsea side and the perfect opportunity could open up for him in the next year.
The Blues will have to manage the heavy fixture load of the Europa League next season and having English rising star Abraham as a third-choice striker would be brilliant for all involved.
Abraham would get his fair amount of chances in the Chelsea side and the club can’t allow another young player to end up leaving and fulfilling their potential elsewhere.
In other Chelsea news, the club must fast-track this loan star to the first team next season.
