Chelsea news: Thomas Tuchel 'needs a kick up the backside' after £1.5bn reveal - Agbonlahor
Thomas Tuchel “needs a kick up the backside” if Chelsea want to finish in the top-four this season, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker insisted Chelsea are not being distracted by off-field matters and their squad means they should be “miles ahead” of both Arsenal and Tottenham.
The Blues are only three points above Arsenal and five ahead of Tottenham as they sit in third place.
After the 1-0 defeat to Everton on Sunday (1 May) they are on a run of just one win in their last four Premier League games.
Off the pitch, question marks remain over who will be the club’s new owner took another twist yesterday (3 May) with the London Evening Standard reporting the Government fear Roman Abrahomivch will ask to be paid back the £1.5billion debt he is owed by Chelsea.
But Agbonlahor has insisted that is not the reason for their slump.

He told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “I don’t think it’s the off-field stuff, no.
“I think Thomas Tuchel needs a kick up the backside.
“You look at the squad of players Chelsea have compared to Spurs and Arsenal and if results went against Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal could finish above them.
“Chelsea should be miles ahead of Spurs and Arsenal for the amount of money they’ve spent on their squad and the players they’ve got.
“Romelu Lukaku, Timo Werner, Kai Havertz, Hakim Ziyech, Christian Pulusic and Callum Hudson-Odoi. They’ve got so many options.
“They should be nowhere near Arsenal and Spurs and be closer to Liverpool and Man City.
“It’s been a very poor season for Tuchel, for me.”
