By Dominic Toner
Football Insider rates the Chelsea players after their 2-0 victory against Hull in the Premier League on Sunday.
Thibaut Courtois 7 – The goalkeeper made several strong saves from a positive Hull side and is proving he is one of the best in the division.
Cesar Azpilicueta 7 – He was comfortable in possession and is a great one-on-one defender.
David Luiz 7 – The centre-back continues to be the heartbeat of the defence and dominated the individual battle with Abel Hernandez. He has been reborn since his return to Stamford Bridge and his power in the air is a great asset.
Gary Cahill 8 – Managed to recover from a nasty head collision which saw Ryan Mason stretchered off. Helped keep yet another clean sheet for Chelsea and scored the second goal of the match with a headed goal from a Cesc Fabregas free-kick.

Victor Moses 7 – The defender got the assist for Diego Costa’s goal with a powerful low cross into the penalty area. He was a great outlet on the right flank for the Blues.
N’Golo Kante 6 – Broke up some Hull attacks in the midfield and was steady in possession. Was inches away from scoring a rare goal as he narrowly missed out on tapping the ball into the next in the six-yard box.
Nemanja Matic 6 – Steady in possession and sat in front of the defence, but offered little going forward.
Marcos Alonso 7 – The wing-back spent most of the first-half inside the opposition’s half and linked up well with Eden Hazard. Showed the defensive side to his game in the second period.
Pedro 6 – The Spaniard got into some good spaces and worked tirelessly for his side, but couldn’t threaten the Hull goal.
Diego Costa 8 – Marked his return to the side with the opening goal of the match. He managed to find space inside the penalty area and dispatch in clinical fashion.
Eden Hazard 6 – The Belgian attacker showed glimpses of his quality in possession, but just lacked the final ball.
Cesc Fabregas (for Hazard 71mins) 6
Willian (for Pedro 71mins) 6
Michy Batshuayi (for Costa 87mins) 6
