Chelsea player ratings v West Brom: 28-year-old gets 9/10

Football Insider rates the Chelsea players after their 1-0 win against West Brom on Sunday in the Premier League.

Thibaut Courtois 7 – With West Brom having just one shot on target, Courtois enjoyed a quiet day at the office.

Cesar Azpilicueta – 7 Comfortable performance from the consistent right-back, kept Matt Phillips quiet.

Gary Cahill – 8 Proved doubters wrong by making two wonderful last-ditch tackles late on.

David Luiz – 7 Commanding display from the Brazilian once again, despite an injury scare.

Victor Moses – 7 Continued his resurgent form in the starting eleven with a lively performance on the right.

Nemanja Matic – 8 The Serbia international has looked a different player this season after struggling last term under Mourinho. Dominated the midfield.

N’Golo Kante – 7 Not known for his shooting, Kante was unlucky not to score for Antonio Conte’s side with a long-range shot. Good performance alongside Matic.

Marcos Alonso – 7 Another strong 90 minutes for the summer signing, as he continues to star on the left side of Chelsea’s 3-4-3 system. Got in some good attacking positions.

Eden Hazard – Quiet day for the Belgium international, as Chelsea drew a blank until the 83rd minute.

Diego Costa – 9  Scored his 15th goal in 20 games for both club and country after robbing the defender of possession and curling a brilliant left-foot shot past Ben Foster..Match winner.

Pedro – 7 Continues to start in Conte’s starting XI and looked dangerous going forward.
