Chelsea poised to agree £30m Conor Gallagher deal – sources
Chelsea are ready to agree a fee of around £25-30million with Atletico Madrid for Conor Gallagher, sources have told Football Insider.
Football Insider revealed on Monday (29 July) that Atleti are growing in confidence in their bid to beat Aston Villa and Tottenham to a deal for the 24-year-old.
Reports have suggested Gallagher has asked friends and colleagues for advice on a potential move to Spain as he closes in on the switch.
Chelsea are reluctantly ready to sell the England international with no progress made in discussions over a new contract.
Gallagher’s current deal expires in less than 12 months and the Blues are not ready to let him leave on a free transfer in 2025.
