Chelsea are ready to seal a new £34.3million Chelsea contract with Willian after he revealed his intention to commit to the club.

The midfielder is keen to sign a deal that will lift his salary to £120,000-a-week and run until 2021.

Willian’s current £80,000-a-week agreement has two-and-a-half years and he is in advanced talks with the Premier League champions about an extension.

“The club knows exactly how I feel,” Willian said in an interview with the Sun on Saturday. “I am very happy here. it was always my dream to come here when I was playing in Ukraine the realisation of a dream. I want to stay.

“But at the same time my head is calm, I am just going to see how things go. I’m happy.

“I tend to not get involved in that side of things too much. I leave it up to my agent to deal with it but the club knows exactly how I feel.”

As revealed by Football Insider, talks have been taking place for months about an extension and all parties are now confident that an agreement is nearly in place.

Moody blues: Diego Costa is equal top scorer with Willian this season

The Brazilian midfielder is expected to become the third senior Blues player to commit to fresh terms in a short period following Gary Cahill and Ramires.

A Chelsea source has told Football Insider they are hopeful of having an agreement with Willian in place within weeks.

Willian is Chelsea’s equal leading scorer this season with eight goals and has been the most consistently impressive player for the club during what has been a mostly wretched campaign.
