‘Chelsea ready to sell star duo on £500,000-a-week’
Chelsea are ready to sell Raheem Sterling as their summer transfer plan has been revealed.
The 30-year-old spent the latest campaign on loan at Arsenal after being frozen out by Enzo Maresca following his arrival last summer.
Arsenal decided against signing Sterling on a permanent basis after he failed to provide much of an impact during his time at the Emirates Stadium.
The 82-cap England international has now fallen further down the pecking order at Chelsea following the arrivals of attackers Joao Pedro and Jamie Gittens.
Finance expert Stefan Borson exclusively told Football Insider the London giants are desperately trying to sell Ben Chilwell and Joao Felix alongside Sterling this summer.
Chilwell spent the second half of the 2024-25 campaign on loan at Crystal Palace, where he started in just two of his 11 appearances.
Meanwhile, Felix registered three goals and one assist in 21 outings for AC Milan after joining them on loan in the January transfer window.

Chelsea spending plan revealed after done deals
Borson insisted Chelsea will continue to spend big this summer despite their need to sell players.
He told Football Insider: “My perception would be that they will both spend big and also try and move players on, just because they don’t seem to sort of apply the usual prudent that most football clubs would, so I would expect them to keep spending.
“But they definitely need to sell. There is no question that they have to get rid of players like Sterling and Chilwell.
“These players together must be on over £500,000 a week. That’s £25million a year just going out the door before even national insurance on two players, who are not going to play a minute next season.
“Everybody knows they’re desperately trying to sell them and they are not the only ones.
“Joao Felix, where’s he going to go? They are going to want him out, and there’s a whole list of players on their transfer list that can’t just be loaned.
“There’s a limit to how many international loans you can do, for example. They can’t just loan everybody.
“They have to actually sell these players or pay them off.”

Chelsea plan to accept Josh Acheampong offer as Tottenham swoop
In terms of another potential exit, recruitment expert Mick Brown told Football Insider Chelsea are planning to accept offers for Josh Acheampong this summer.
Maresca’s side are prepared to entertain offers for the 19-year-old despite him only agreeing a new contract until 2029 seven months ago.
Tottenham are among the clubs eyeing a move for Acheampong, while Newcastle United are also keeping tabs on the highly-rated defender.
